Inglés IV - B - 2025
Licenciatura en Medicina y Cirugía

This course is designed to equip students in the medical faculty with essential English language skills for effective communication in healthcare and everyday professional situations. The course builds on practical themes such as meeting people, making appointments, describing health problems, understanding medical instructions, and discussing health histories and diagnoses.

Students develop their vocabulary related to medical professions, symptoms, procedures, and hospital settings while applying grammar structures such as to be, can, present simple, present progressive, modal verbs, and present perfect. Emphasis is placed on listening and reading comprehension, polite expression use, and active speaking and writing practice to confidently engage in real-world interactions—whether at a doctor’s office, hospital, job interview, or business setting.

Delivered in a hybrid format, the course includes interactive classroom activities and self-paced online learning through the English Discoveries platform by EduSoft. It aligns with the A2 to B1 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and is specifically tailored to meet the communicative needs of future medical professionals.
