This course will outline the fundamentals of doing research, aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at the graduate level and at research in and for the classroom. The course offers an understanding of research approaches and skills, and an ability to deploy them in your studies or in your professional lives. In particular, this course will aid in conducting research as part of your studies, as part of your professional life and as additional support for self-improvement by offering writing, research and analytical skills. In addition, students will learn how to properly cite material used in literature research. Finally, students will conduct their own literature research on a topic of their choice and complete a paper describing their findings with analysis and conclusions with a bibliography according to APA rules.
