The purpose of
this course is to provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes to help students
achieve proficiency in the understanding, ability and use, at basic level, of
English as a Second Language in the four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading
and Writing; as well as its familiarity with cultural aspects.
Throughout the
development of the course, learning will be focused on tasks and interactions,
to enable students to communicate exchanging information, opinions and ideas.
It would give them the opportunity to approach and apply the language into
daily life contexts.
